It’s been quiet on the western front as we’ve eagerly anticipated the reveal of Castle Grayskull here at CastleGrayskull.info! The Castle debuted at Toy Fair over this weekend and some of the best sites on the net have reported back coverage from the show!
Check out these links for the latest Grayskull news & images from Toy Fair:
It’s come down to Florida in Eternia! While the minimum production deadline for the Castle passed last night, Mattel doesn’t know the outcome. Scott “Toy Guru” Neitlich posted at He-Man.Org that Mattel/Digital River needed to individually confirm a handful of “bulk orders” to know where the pre-order stands.
From that, we can infer that the minimum was met, but that it was close. We’re all waiting on pins & needles as Digital River attempts to make contact with the folks who placed bulk orders, ensure their legitimacy, and declare the outcome.
Johnny Bilson of Johnny’s Perfect Costumes has made two videos to promote the Castle Grayskull Pre-Order. Johnny teamed up with Brian Dobson, the voice of Skeletor from the MYP MOTU cartoon, for the Skeletor video! Pretty cool!
During the subscription sign-up peroid, Battlegrip’s Phil Reed posted a series of comic shorts promoting the positives of the subscription. Now, Phil’s back with a short comic for the Castle Grayskull pre-order. Be sure to check it out and, when you do, check out the provided links for Phil’s other MOTU comics!
The fine folks over at Action Figure Insider have posted a two-part interview with Mattel MOTUC Brand Manager, Scott “Toy Guru” Neitlich. Toy Guru answers a few questions regarding the thermometer’s current reading and some details on why Mattel went with a pre-order. You can check out the first part of the interview here and the second part here.
The thermometer has been slowly inching up this week, but we’ve got a huge three-mark jump going into the weekend! That should put us around 82% with three days remaining! This weekend’s going to be a real nail-biter!
Scott “Toy Guru” Neitlich released a new promo video for the upcoming Granamyr oversized figure (available in December) today. Granamyr was surrounded by other large-scale items including the toddler-size Voltron, the Mattel Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man, and their Castle Mock-Up. Take note of headless Mosquitor hanging by the door as well as Procrutus & Gygor hanging out on the top floor!
I’m stealing Poe Ghostal’s title for this post because it’s too funny not to! Fan favorite Pixel Dan Eardley & Fan Contest Winner Daniel Benedict (Dans are just awesome apparently) have teamed up to make a commercial for the New Castle Grayskull!
